Yorkshire Bike Shack is a not-for-profit social enterprise run by a mix of trained mechanics and amazing volunteers who are really passionate about cycling and the community.
Our aim is to improve people's health and the environment by promoting far more people to use cycling for leisure and commuting. Our new workshop in the heart of Woodfield Park, Doncaster will be a social hub for cyclists, a place to learn new skills and an alternative education provision for young students. Things are moving very quickly in the right direction and we are all very excited about the future.
We provide an open access to a workshop, bike maintenance training, refurbished bike sales, bike repairs/servicing and bike maintenance training. We partner with local community organisations, school groups and individuals to create opportunities to change people's lives.
We have just been awarded some major funding from Doncaster Council to set up a permanent workshop next door to St. Catherine's House in Woodfield Park, Balby. This part is in the planning stages and we hope to be active there around December time. Until that time we will continue to run the Saturday repair workshop sessions from Bentley Urban Farm.
